Get Ready for Wild West Days 2024

Start now and plan to attend Faulkton’s Wild West Days in Faulkton, SD 57438. From July 5th - 7th, be immersed in a taste of Western culture and community fun as you embark upon games, food, and outdoor adventures.

Since 1990, Faulkton, South Dakota has taken additional days in July to celebrate our nation’s independence and the good ole days of the Wild Wild West, a part of history glamorized through TV and movies. Yet, there is nothing like this experience as the enthusiastic response is made clear every year!

Annually, Wild West Days showcases Faulkton’s rich history, gives families a reason to “come home,” and offers visitors reasons to relocate. The overwhelming feelings of connection and community experienced during the Wild West Days, translate into prosperity. According to Linda Bartholomew of FAEDC, “When a small town’s population of 800+ swells to over 2,000, it proves that working together has turned an idea into a premier event that is still going strong. I’m proud of our community and the people who keep it full of vitality!”

Daily Events

Along with food vendors to choose from and hearing live music, each day includes:

• Pickler Mansion Tours (1 p.m. - 4 p.m.)
• Open Swim (1 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.)
• Movie Showing at Lyric Theater (7:30 pm)

Friday, July 5th

• Freedom 5K Run/Walk - 9 a.m. (sign-up here)
• Faulk County Saddle Club Bull Riding Event at Rodeo grounds (6 p.m.)  
• Bean Bag Tournament on Main Street (7 p.m.)

Saturday, July 6th

• Breakfast at Legion Hall (7a.m. - 10 a.m.)
• Parade (10 a.m.)
• Wheels & Wings Show at Faulkton Airport (12 p.m. - 3 p.m.)
• 4-H Carnival at 4-H Grounds (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.)

Sunday, July 7th

• Golf Tournament at Lakeside Country Club (9 a.m.)
• Worship in the City Park (10 a.m.)
